Tier 1 Account

Locked till 60 years (early exit: 80% to annuity)
60% lump sum withdrawal (tax-free)
40% must buy annuity (monthly pension)
Pension income is taxable

Tax Benefits (Tier 1)

80CCD(1): Up to ₹1.5L (within 80C)
80CCD(1B): Additional ₹50K (over 80C)
80CCD(2): Employer contribution (10% of basic)
Total max deduction: ₹2L + employer contribution
